So I worked out hardcore when I got home last night... and I'm dying a little bit.  Should have not gone so hard, but it did feel good.  Although I think I'll tone the work out down a little bit tonight.  I also started a new book this week, "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" Its pretty good so far, I'm just to chapter eight though.

Well, diet starts today!

So, I have decided that I am going to finally get my ass back in shape, its about time!  I have set up a diet for myself... and hopefully I'll follow it.  I have been so much more disciplined in general with my life, and I'm rather proud of myself!  I just placed another order with Rory Ashton and Lily Dawson for the cardinals themed jewelry for the website.  It really excites me!  I am so happy, and realized what amazing family and friends that I have this weekend.  You all have been there a lot for me in the past year when I really needed someone.  Time to let go of the past and look forward to the future!

So my mom got an iPhone and iPad within in a week and that makes me laugh because she's like the last person in the world that needs either of those things! Well actually no one neeeeeeds an iPhone or iPad but I Am having fun typing this post on here! Either way Lindseys wedding shower was this weekend and it was a lot of fun. Her family is so sweet! So, does anyone else love Teen Mom as much as me? Ali's condition breaks my heart!  I sit here and listen to it while I'm at work and it just gives me the chills.  It has to be so hard having a child with a condition and not being able to do anything about it.  It honestly breaks MY heart I cant imagine how she has to feel.  Soo sad! 

Since I wasnt at work yesterday I have a lot of work to do today.  And my boss is buying us all bread co because its Joyce's birthday!  Gotta love free lunch :)

Ha doesnt mean any one is going to read it, and thats fine too... how ever what I am about to talk about is pure ridiculousness haha but it honestly amazes me.  So my aunt Krista's dog Sassy has been sitting here chasing her tail for like the past 10 minutes, and its totally like she just discovered that she has a tail? Its cracking me up. See, I told you it was ridiculous.

Why are Sundays depressing?

I just want to say: There are two sides to every story.  Ive really tried to think of that when I judge someone/jump to conclusions.  And plus, you never really know the struggles people are going through until you walk in their shoes.  We are all people, and makes mistakes.  So, I've done really well with giving up the past for lent- and Its been working out well! 

So... If I had a $1,000 to drop on a puppy (and my own loft) I would buy this little angel in a SECOND!

A little behind on the blogging..

Well, as you know I havent blogged in a long time!  I really havent had a lot of time with getting the business up and running. We have been running around like a chicken with our heads cut off!  Its really all falling into place though so its a good feeling.  Really making moves.  Although the money goes so quickly its kind of scary!  When we were buying the work laptop at Best Buy (yes, its a PC, and I'm not happy about it, but I lost that battle, so.. time to move on from that argument.) When we were buying all the tax software and just everything the printer.. quicken, office... I was just sitting there thinking "Oh my Gosh.." this is really all coming together after the planning for almost a year and a half!  Gotta give it a shot, I really think its going to go well... I hope so at least.

Chicago this weekend!! YAY Even though its going to be snowing... who effing cares.  We are going and were going to have a good time, damnit! :) 

So I experienced a little buyers remorse this weekend... I bought a new Kate Spade.. new cell phone and 3 dresses from this boutique in Georgia... Uh.  Yes, the weekend before I go out of town... probably should have refrained... but whatevs, spring is coming.. But heres what I bought!

Business progress

So if all goes well... the website will be up on the 1st of March :)  Hopefully that actually happens... we will see.

LDD, RST, KTS, JM and NK gameday dresses will be the beginning brands on the site.  Of course along with the greek dresses.  Pattern makers are crazy expensive!  I mean, I understand cuz those people have to pay a lot of money to maintain the programs and software on their computer as well as much as they paid to go to school!(we all know college isn't cheap)  But I guess since I really didn't know what it was going to cost when I got the quote I was like "AH" But I talked her down :)  Only got 3 patterns, not the 5 I was hoping for... but 3 will do.

Any how, if the pattern maker would have been a little cheaper I could have spent more of the investment money on KTS's new designs that are being launched at market next week.  The magic show. My boss will be going next week, and I'm kind of jealous.  Jealous for a few reasons, one:  I want to go to Vegas.  Two: Id love to look at all the beautiful pieces the designers are show casing.  Ah, I guess there's always next year!  Although my boss will be going for underwear... haha none the less, I'm still jealous.

Oh yes... before I forget, its Chelsey's bday today... Happy Birthday Yels!  Ok, I'm going to bed.  Night yall

So I love to look at Fashion blogs... gives me a little inspiration and I look looking at the combinations that other people come up with.  I think I have decided that I need to move to Texas... seriously.  The girls dress so well, and the guys dress so adorable... Mah Mah Mah

I didnt realize it had been so long since the last time I blogged.... yiikkkkesss.

I am pretty bored this afternoon so I thought... I guess this is the time! I might have a serious problem. I bought a new pair of Rory Ashton earrings yesterday... the tiny sand.  They are so cute.  I cant WAIT to get them!! I have found my new Tory Burch purse that I'm going to treat myself to. .. fabulous.  Its beautiful.

So Friday night I was out to eat... and I had my TB in a  chair at the table... and the waitress says to me "Oh, so is your purse a person now?  Needs its own chair? I just throw mine on the ground!"  I looked at her (with a snobby ass look im sure..) and said "Yes.  It does need to sit in a chair.  Buutt, thank you for asking" Rude ass.  Didn't she ever read how the bottom of women's purses is one of the things that carries the most germs?  Plus, I didn't WANT to put it on the ground.  Jerk.  I didn't mean to sound like a bitch, but I mean.. come on.  Mind your own business, I'm not hurting anyone by my purse sitting in a chair at a restaurant.  Any way.  Not cool.

I went to Columbia on Saturday night... it was a blast, I love going there... and miss living there so much.  I think I just really miss all of my girlfriends.. and bum fucking around with them all the time.  I just miss it.  The Columbia visits always seem to go too quickly.  Now I'm sitting at Kristas and I'm bored out of my mind.  I think I need to do a little work.  Gah.  Ok, I hope you all have a fabulous Sunday evening! :)

So... its 3:30 and I'm awake... I cant sleep.  I fell asleep at 9:15 last night... and here I am laying awake... I think I'll watch some True Blood.  But, good news... I found a website that has the Judith March peace sign dress I was looking for (cuz it was a fall piece I couldn't find it any where...)  and its on sale.. bammmmm suckaaaaa

Friday night after work I was reading the last pages of Go Ask Alice.. on the bus.. (this bus driver is awesome, I love him- he gives me shit on a daily basis) and I'm sitting there wiping my tears and he says "Blondie, why you cryin?!!? Some fool break your heart!?" (he says this to me any time I don't sit there and talk to him the whole bus ride.. he's like 28 probably..) he will go "bad day at work? White men giving you trouble?" Its just funny to me, because... I've never once said anything to him about guys? haha Ok, back to my point... I said "no white boy troubles... I just finished this book, makes me cry every time" "what book?" "Go ask Alice... do you like to read?" "I do.. I do.." "Here, take this, and read it.." "Ok..Ok... this aint no chick novel is it?" "its a diary of a 15 year old drug user" "Imma read this... then imma go ASK A-lice" haha so I give him the book and I look behind me... and the bus is silent and the 10 ppl on the bus are starring at me.  Fabulous. So... I'm guessing ill never see that book again, but whatever.. I hope he passes it on, its so good.

I want to add that in that above picture.. that was our last night of spring break, and I didn't drink... one bit.  Mainly because I had drank Coors light the night before.  Which I discovered even with 2 beers literally makes me want to die.  The day of that picture I spent the majority of the day in bed, crying to my Mom on the phone, having to get out of the car to run and throw up on the side of the nice hotel we were staying in.. (classy...) eating McDoanlds breakfast to soak up the alcohol... oh yah, and laying on the beach wearing a ball cap... covering my face up with a towel.. almost crying and wanting to throw up again.   I will post the pic of me sleeping on the beach... This would be the 2nd wing of my hangover... Never again have I drank a coors... and I never will... EVER again.

I custom ordered some Rory Ashton Mizzou style earrings yesterday from this gameday boutique in Dallas. And I also ordered a black cluster ring. They are based out of Dallas so obviously the majority of their stuff is SMU, univ of Texas Texas Tech and A and M... And southern schools. Its a cute boutique though. I wasn't lying when I told you all I've been boutique hunting every where in the south. I'm determined to have pieces people around here don't have! Its my goal. One of my friends Sarah leaves for Vegas today. I am so jealous. I need to go to Vegas! I hung out with my Aunt and Rachel last night, I have always wanted a sister (although I have 45 plus amazing sorority sisters) Rach is like the little sister I never had! I hope we have a close relationship like Krista and I do- I hope someday I can be there for her the way Krista is for me. I got another book in the mail last night.. I remember buying a lot of books off amazon prime on Sunday night.. I didn't realize I ordered like 5! Plus I pre ordered Lo Bosworths book- that isn't available until the end of the month. I also re did my whole social media site last night and turned it into a chic- vogue theme, I was practically passing out working on it. I was so tired. Ok, enough of my random thoughts.. Chi town, Chiiii town Chiiiii town!!

Our trip was officially booked yesterday!  Staying at the Westin.. off Michigan Ave.  Cant wait! I have been waiting to go on a shopping trip since like.. November.  Its going to be cold up there the last weekend in February.. but I honestly don't care.  I went to shop online last night... and I thought "No... wait until you can do some shopping in Chicago" and I refrained... go me!

I was sooo productive last night, I cleaned my sheets, comforter, organized my shoes, cleaned my silver glitter Toms (yeah, they needed it, and I'm trying to be cheap... and if this cleaning doesn't help with the stinkyness.. I'm going to have to pitch them) but they are still drying... so we will see.  Even got rid of underwear I havent worn in a while... cleaned out my drawers, dusted and did ALL my laundry.  Worked out, updated my social media website... then went to bed.  But of course I woke up late this morning.. haha Cant have it all I guess... :)

Since I got into work late yesterday because of the weather Im still trying to play catch up.  I cant imagine what its like to come back from vacation after a week... stressful.

Free People Coffee Break Dress

I love this dress, it is so cute and casual!  For Free People a pretty reasonable price.  After reading the reviews I would recommend staying true to your size or even going down a size.  I know with these dresses I'm always a little concerned about the length, but it apparently runs a little big.  Which would add to the comft of the dress.  Gotta love it! 

Is anyone else picky about the pens that they write with like me?  I have become really particular the past couple months. I will only write in the paper mate flair, medium.  Black is hard to find, so I bought the color packs and a lot of the stuff I write down for at work is in all these funky colors.  Luckily my boss doesnt care..

I got Go Ask Alice in the mail yesterday.. ordered it from Amazon for a whompin penny..haha Did any one else read that book when you were younger? I did, but I saw it in Target last week and almost bought it.. then decided to use my Amazon Prime and buy the book online.  I forgot how little it is.  I definitely have some catching up to do on my reading.. I have a stack of about 5 books I need to read.. Ok time to get back to work.

Snow day tomorrow?!

If the snow is bad enough tomorrow morning I'll get a snow day.  Is it bad that I'm kind of praying that I'll be able to lay in bed all day, read my book and just relax?  But now that I typed that... it wont snow at all and I'll have to go to work tomorrow.  Oh well.  And I cant work from home because I don't have the software.  So looks like I'll have to work on my businesses.  My social media site really needs some tweaking.  Plus, I have a lot to do.  So the snow day could really do me some good.

I could just eat my foot today.  I am so hungry. I can't wait to go to Chicago at the end of February.  Its honestly giving me something to look forward to :) I need a massage so badly.  Its really starting to kill me.

Today I really sat at work and reflected all the things that I want out of my life.  It really got me excited for the future, and really made me want to work harder to achieve my goals.  With the holidays I haven't been as with the program as I was before the holidays hit with work and what not.  New year, new start, new time to start kicking ass!

In Church on Sunday they were talking about a program where you donate a dollar a day to help children in need, and you make a connection and help a person in poverty.. and you can go visit them, go on a mission trip... etc.  (I need to add a side note here...) I rolled in the house at 3:00  am on Sunday morning.. We went to the Dubliner.. and were shocked at what a sausage fest that place is.  I think we counted 27 guys walked in the door within 7 minutes... and thats just after we started counting.... Then went to Sidebar.. Gahhh, it was a great time!  Any way, Rachel comes to wake me up from church and I'm pretty sure I was sitting there with the alcohol seeping out of my pores.. Any way.  I got dressed, and went regardless.  Back to my main point... I think that would be so cool, Ive always wanted to do stuff like that.  Plus, it goes along with me wanting to adopt a chinese baby. I just think it would be so cool to give them a life of opportunity, an education, everything.  But... instead of blowing it on clothes and... well, alcohol... Id like to do that.  So, I'm going to look into it.  Thats my reflection of the day, and I'm going to go to bed... in hopes of a snow day tomorrow.

I am at the end of my Kelly Cutrone book, I'm kind of sad because its really good... but I have like 4 books I ordered that all came last week that I need to get craacking on and start reading.  Its going to snow 4 inches and it starts at noon... and I'm wearing Toms.. solid idea.  My feet are going to be freezing when I leave work.

I love the weekends

So, I really havent been blogging much lately.  I was tired a lot this week, didnt really do much but come home, eat dinner, do laundry clean and go to bed.  I am so cool... and exciting.  I even hand washed all my bras...  And all of my college roommates can tell you... I have a ton of bras... and underwear for that matter.  Its one of my favorite things to buy!  Although I havent in a while it seems like.

I need to go to Nordstrom to exchange a few things.  I have really been enjoying laying in bed not doing anything.  I have been writing up boutique contracts, and working with my graphic design girl to put together the packet for the spring line.  I am so excited!  I have done a few designs that are going to be a little more than just the cotton/spandex game day dress... game day inspired but I'm working on the tweeks.. I'll be sure to show you all when it gets photographed.

So it looks like Im going to get my MBA... with a marketing focus and Christina and I are going to take classes at Stephens (online) in the fall and get a certificate in Social Media.  Yep, thats what the world is coming to, that is a certificate and you know what... were going to kick ass, and be one of the first ones to have it!  Go us.

So... Ghost ride the whip just came on my itunes... I thought the first time I heard it.. it would make me really upset, and make me cry.  It really didn't, I'm shocked. After reading this Kelly Cutrone book, I have really learned and given a lot of the events of this past year a lot of thought.  How many people truly love you?  How many people are jealous of you, and what you do? How many people just fit you, for certain parts of your life?  How many people will come and go?  Who would you jump in front of a bullet for?  These are a few things she asks, and talks about.  This is one chapter in the book and  I found it to be totally true..

People who have never been hurt, and never felt truly loneliness, have never lived.  You havent lived until someone has killed your spirit... and you find true love again.  Some people really enjoy the misery of others, dont fucking let that be you.  I'm serious I'm not even finished with this book, and she ties fashion into it, which is the best part... honestly.  But thats another thing, as Americans.. just like in fashion.. we have the right and ability to reinvent ourselves... on a daily basis.  Whats that quote?  Be the change you want to see in the world... yep.

I hate to go on rants like that, but its been on my mind all week reading this book.

Also, I have been drinking way too much coffee/diet coke and red bull... because I have been getting sick around 4 everyday.. I need to cut.it.out. haha

Ashley is okay! Thank God! I am so relieved. Now we gotta figure out who is messing with her and track them down! Haha but really she's okay and that's all that really matters :) I haven't been blogging much lately because I have been working, working out, teaching myself how to cook.. (Which I'm getting better and better at...) and going to bed at like 9. Which I plan on doing tonight. I am sooo tired today.. And I've gotta stop drinking red bull in the morning after I have a cup of coffee. Its not good. I'm going to die at age 23 of a heart attack. I am soo hungry I just want to get home and eat eat eat! I got some bad ass Mizzou tickets tonight from my friend Chris (who is one of the coaches for mizzou..which one I don't know) but I wasn't able to go so I gave them to Christina and Meis. They are right behind the bench I hope they enjoy them. Wish I could be there! I custom ordered a balck and silver Rory Ashton ring today... Can't wait to get it! Also, I'm going to do a little more research on designers tonight. I love doing this stuff. Ok... Enough babbling its out of my system now!

So.. I got some.. lets just go with weird texts from one of my best friends Ashley.. at 2:26 am this morning... didnt think anything of it, just thought she meant to send it to someone else... then, my Mom calls me and tells me she received a similar thing from Ashley.  Definitely not something she would do.. So I asked our friend Wendy.. she got the same.  So naturally, I'm worried.. so I call her house, she isnt there, call both her jobs, she isnt there.. and no one can find her.  I am so upset.. I dont even know what to do with myself. Just gotta get through the rest of the work day then go from there.  I pray to God shes okay.. :(

As the pizza is cooking..

I know I have been talking about how I have been trying to cook more.. and I am, and I'm getting better!  Tonight though, its football, beer and pizza time..

So while we are all waiting for the pizza to get done (and waiting for the Rams game to start...) I have been doing some research.  On local designers like I said.. so this week my main focus is going to be on jewelry.  I stumbled on Luna Teal jewelry.  She is a designer and blogger out of Dallas Texas... and I love her stuff... but I ADORE this bracelet/cuff

Target... and random purchases

I have had my macbook for 2 1/2 years and barely had any problems at all... my PC died at 2 1/2 years... but today my charger totally crapped out.  So, I had to order a new charger which is being over nighted to me for free and the charger is free because of my apple care.. hell yes.  Although I'm a little worried because my apple care runs out at the end of Aug.. Ek.  Which means all these things are going to go wrong with my computer after I dont have coverage on it of course.  Oh well... at that point I'll just play the waiting game until it craps out.  My PC didnt even last 3 years, so I would definitely say buying this mac was worth it.  I dont think i'll ever buy another PC again.

My Dad got into an argument about the whole 'mac vs. pc' thing the other day.  Now that Verizon sells the ipad.. (and the iphone in the middle of this month.. YAY) we get half off the monthly service for the ipad, which were going to get for the business when we travel do trunk shows and do events and stuff.... and were going to get a square to make the credit card transactions.  Well, he wants to buy the droid version of the ipad... um. No.  Thats like buying a PC... he gets half off the droid device, and we would have to pay the full 629 for the ipad- um.  Its worth it.  So we have been arguing about it... we shall see who wins this argument. (Um, you know its going to be me.) Hopefully...

Ok, soooo ready for the Rams to kick ass tonight! Cant wait to watch the game!  Wearing my Rams gear.
